Awards Program
NHCAA’s Annual Awards Program is an opportunity to recognize the impressive investigative work in the health care fraud industry. From the Excellence in Public Health Awareness Award and the John Morris Volunteer Award to the coveted Investigation of the Year Award and the SIRIS Investigation of the Year Award, the hard work of dedicated individuals and teams is recognized. The Investigation of the Year and SIRIS Investigation of the Year Awards strive to honor the collaborative efforts of individuals and their respective organizations in the successful investigation of health care fraud. The awardees are recognized and presented in conjunction with the Annual Training Conference. The Awards nomination process begins each year in June. The application will be posted when the process opens. Nominate your team or organization!
2021 Award Winners
At the 2021 Annual Training Conference (ATC), NHCAA presented awards honoring a dedicated NHCAA volunteer, a distinguished medical director, a community education program aimed at impacting the opioid epidemic, and the investigative and prosecutorial teams involved in three outstanding health care fraud investigations. Follow the links for a description of each achievement. NHCAA congratulates all of the awardees!
INVESTIGATION OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Investigation of the Year Award honors an outstanding and effective health care fraud investigation and its impact on fraud deterrence and prevention. Due to the complexity of health care fraud investigations, a multi-organization investigative effort normally is required for a successful resolution and, therefore, it is more appropriate to recognize this approach.
