For individuals preparing to that the AHFI® exam, this extra day offers a unique opportunity to hear from faculty about key areas on the exam. For the coders attending the ATC, we’ve once again designed a program just for you. Obtain additional AAPC credits during our coding program. (additional registration required)

AHFI® Prep Course

Prepare to sit for the Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI®) exam by participating in this expanded full-day pre-conference preparatory program, designed to highlight key content areas on the AHFI examination. Expert faculty will lead sessions on coding and medical terminology, health care fraud federal and state regulations, health insurance and health care system overviews, as well as basic investigative skills.

Unravelling Common Coding Schemes
Tuesday, November 14 | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Registration includes a networking luncheon.

Participants will walk away with insights on four common coding schemes and a better understanding of what to look for in their own claims. Faculty will discuss real case examples and provide participants with the steps necessary to successfully identify and investigate providers who are gaming the system by double billing, misrepresenting experimental/investigational services, unbundling procedures, facility-related billing errors and much more.

Data Analytics for Investigators: Best Practices to Maximize their Investigative Impact

When applied comprehensively in an SIU, a variety of analytical methodologies can uncover leads and fraud schemes, help to launch new investigations, and support investigators on existing cases. This presentation will introduce several analytical approaches, discuss how they can be used in combination, and share best practices to maximize their investigative impact.
