AHFI PathHealth Care Fraud Investigator's Boot Camp (Law Enforcement Track)

September 20 - 23
3.5 days | 24 CPEs
Level I

Substitution, Cancellation, and Deadline for Participant Roster: Tuesday, September 6.

Acquire an understanding of the core competencies necessary to combat health care fraud at our intense, 3 ½ day Boot Camp program. Begin by defining the scope of the health care fraud challenge and examining each step of the investigative process from detection and choosing an investigative strategy, to effective report writing and presenting your case to others in the unit.

Expert faculty will review skills, tools, and technologies critical to health care fraud investigations, discuss recognition of common schemes and teach clinical building block components (medical records, coding and terminology) vital to the detection of fraud, waste or abuse. Participants, working in groups, will synthesize these concepts by taking part in a hands-on case study woven throughout the program.

To attend the Health Care Fraud Investigator's Boot Camp that does not include a law enforcement track, please register for the March NETS session. Law enforcement employees are welcome at either session.

Case Discussion Roundtable

The Case Discussion Roundtable Meetings are by invitation only. If you are eligible* and would like to receive an invitation, please contact Brian Viggiano, Deputy Director of Anti-Fraud Initiatives.

These meetings provide an opportunity for private insurer members to come together with our public and law enforcement partners to share information and discuss active health care fraud investigations as well as schemes, trends, and fraud patterns.

Attendees participate in group discussions; sharing information on their active cases and trends they are experiencing.

Case Discussion Roundtable Meetings are held at each of the 2016 National Education & Training Series (NETS) programs, with the exception of the April and June program.
