Annual Training Conference

We are in-person at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida for 2022!

Throughout the pandemic, the NHCAA Institute for Health Care Fraud Prevention has continued to host a high-quality Annual Training Conference (ATC) but we are excited to be face-to-face, see old friends and colleagues, and share stories from the past few years!

As the industry’s leader in fighting health care fraud, NHCAA is working to create a safe and engaging environment for attendees and speakers to share information on best practices to detect, investigate, prosecute, and prevent fraud, waste and abuse.

New in 2022

  • The conference STARTS on Tuesday, November 15 at 4:00 pm with our Opening Keynote Speaker.
  • Welcome Back Reception will be held on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm .
  • The Anti-fraud Expo Hall opens on Wednesday, November 16.
  • We will have interactive discussions in our Roundtables being held on Wednesday, November 16 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.
  • Friday’s Seminars will begin at 8:30 am on Friday, November 18.

Opening Keynote Speaker

Dr. Rick Rigsby’s opening keynote speech “Making an Impact” invites the audience to rediscover what is really important and meaningful – not only in your professional career but in your personal life as well. Dr. Rigsby is a former award-winning journalist, college professor, football character coach at Texas A&M University, and best known for his inspirational speech, “Lessons from a Third Grade Dropout” watched virtually by over 300 million people.

REGISTRATION POLICIES

One (1) complimentary registration for Membership Forum Representative only. Tuition-free seats are not offered for the Annual Training Conferencce. 

Non-Member Registration:
Any non-member interested in registering must be in a managerial, supervisory or professional position for a private for-profit or not-for-profit health care reimbursement organization. Employees of local, state or federal law enforcement, prosecutorial, or regulatory agency or in a professional disciplinary organization are also welcome. All registrations will be reviewed to ensure these eligibility requirements are met. If you are not in one of these positions, but wish to attend please send an e-mail to: training@nhcaa.org.

Cancellation/Substitution

  • All cancellations (regardless of date) will be assessed with a $100.00 administrative fee.
  • Before deadline: To cancel and obtain a refund (minus the administrative fee), you must provide written notice to The NHCAA Institute – ATC. All cancellation requests must be received by 5:00PM on October 18, 2022. Email your cancellation notice to training@nhcaa.org.
  • After deadline: For cancellations received in writing after October 18, 2022, no refund will be provided but credit for a future training is available. Email your cancellation notice to training@nhcaa.org.
  • All substitution requests must be provided in writing by no later than one week prior to the start date of the program. Email you substitution request to training@nhcaa.org.

By registering for the 2022 Annual Training Conference, you acknowledge that your name, title and company will be included in the Annual Training Conference mailing list provided to exhibitors for their planning purposes before the conference. Details & FAQ

The ATC will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

  • Deadline – Reservations received after October 14, 2022 are subject to the hotel’s prevailing rate.
  • The hotel will ask for a credit card when you make the reservation. This will help to guarantee the room reservation in the event of the attendee not showing up without canceling or canceling within 72 hours of arrival. This card will not be charged unless either of the previously stated events occur.

Attendees should arrive into Orlando International Airport (MCO) and anticipate a 15-minute ride to the hotel.

The Annual Training Conference is designed for all levels of experience and most roles within the health care fraud fighting community. Content is designed for law enforcement, investigators, analysts, managers, and leaders within the industry.

Sessions throughout the program are both Level II and III.

As a level II, or intermediate program, some investigative / health care / coding expertise is assumed. Training content is focused on the detection and investigative processes.

As a level III, or expert program content is designed for management level staff.

A minimum of three years of experience in the health care anti-fraud industry.

This program is approved by NHCAA and NASBA for 16 CPEs.

The 2022 ATC Ethics Workshop on Friday, November 18, is approved for 2 CPEs through NHCAA and NASBA.

Participants earn 18 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours applicable to the training requirements for the Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI®) designation.

AAPC Medical Coding CEU Approved Vendor*This program has the prior approval of AAPC for 11.0 continuing education hours. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor.

The NHCAA Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.
