Invisible Issues-Investigating Internet Providers

Webinar Description

As health care adapts to our changing society, more and more services will be available via the internet. We will present a broad overview of current internet provider issues: scope of practice, requirements for ordering tests and prescribing drugs, differences by line-of-business, requesting medical records; for Blue Cross Blue Shield…who investigates, which law enforcement agency has jurisdiction? Using California, New York, and Florida as examples, we will examine the issues with conducting an investigation. We will look at two case examples, the Pill Club and Ubiome.
