AI systems based on Large Language Models (LLMs) have captured public fascination over the past year. While the newest LLM-based AI systems have impressive capabilities and continue to evolve, they have limitations that often make them a less than ideal fit for use cases in FWA detection and SIU investigations. In many situations, statistical models, traditional machine learning and rule-based approaches will continue to have a place in the modern SIU.
