Annual Training Conference

The NHCAA Institute for Health Care Fraud Prevention's Annual Training Conference is NHCAA's premiere annual event, recognized industry-wide as the nation's leading health care anti-fraud forum.

The 2008 Annual Training Conference, Pre-Conference Programs and Anti-Fraud Expo will be held November 17 - 20, 2008 at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, located in Phoenix, Arizona.

All Continuing Education Professional (CPE) hours earned through the NHCAA Institute programs are applicable to the training requirements for professional designation by the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA) as an Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI).

The NHCAA Institute Annual Training Conference has been approved by the American Academy of Professional Coders for 13 Continuing Education Units. Granting of this approval in no way constitutes endorsement by the Academy of the program, content or the program sponsor. To receive credit the appropriate AAPC evaluation form must be completed. This form will be available on the NHCAA Training Materials Portal immediately before the conference commences.

REGISTRATION POLICIES

Conference Registration is open to all NHCAA member categories, and non-members who must be in a managerial, supervisory or professional position for a private for-profit or not-for-profit health care reimbursement organization, or in local, state or federal law enforcement, prosecutorial, or regulatory agency or in a professional disciplinary organization. All registrations will be reviewed to ensure these eligibility requirements are met. If you are not in one of these positions, but wish to attend please email us at: training@nhcaa.org.

Payment
To qualify for the NHCAA Early Bird Registration rate, registration forms and accompanying payment must be received no later than close of business Monday, September 15, 2008. Registrations received after this date will be subject to the Standard registration rates. Registrations will not be processed without payment or purchase order. To enter the Anti-Fraud Expo Hall at any time, or to attend any of the networking receptions, a full conference registration badge, or a spouse guest badge must be worn.

Cancellations
To cancel and obtain a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee, you must provide written notice of cancellation to The NHCAA Institute, ATC Registration, 1201 New York Ave, NW, Suite 1120, Washington, DC 20005, or via email at ATCreg@nhcaa.org by Friday, October 10. If you cancel in writing after Friday, October 10, but before Friday, October 24, you will receive a 50% refund minus a $25 administrative fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after October 24.

Substitutions
To request a substitution, you must provide written notice of substitution to The NHCAA Institute, Office of the Registrar, 1201 New York Ave, NW, Suite 1120, Washington, DC 20005, or via email at ATCreg@nhcaa.org by Friday, October 24. A $25.00 fee will be assessed on any substitution before Friday, October 24. After Friday, October 24, a $50.00 fee will be assessed on any substitutions. Onsite substitutions can be made for a $50.00 fee.

NHCAA has negotiated special rates for the 2008 ATC, available Saturday, November 15, 2008 through departure on Saturday, November 22, 2008. This rate will be available until October 17, 2008, but space is not guaranteed through that date. The group rate is subject to the prevailing occupancy tax and sales tax currently 12.27% and 8.1%, subject to change. In addition to the reservation rate and the daily resort fee, each room is assessed a $3.00 per day room attendant fee, and a $10.00 per person porterage fee. All room reservations must be accompanied by a first night and last night’s room deposit guaranteed with a major credit card. Reservations may be canceled up to 7 days prior to the arrival date, with a full refund.

The group rate is subject to the prevailing occupancy tax and sales tax currently 12.27% and 8.1%, subject to change. Internet access fees per room per day are $11.95. All room reservations must be accompanied by a first night’s room deposit guaranteed with a major credit card.
